About Us

Driving Tangier's industrial future since 1990

Learn how AZIT has shaped a modern, sustainable industrial zone in Tangier — from our founding in 1990 to the projects driving our future.

Our History

Three decades of industrial progress

The Association of the Tangier Industrial Zone (AZIT) was founded in 1990 at the initiative of manufacturers established in the Mghogha industrial zone, on the Tetouan road.

It was created against a backdrop of infrastructure shortfalls, difficulties managing basic services (roads, security, cleanliness), and a growing need for coordination among economic stakeholders. Faced with these challenges, the industrial companies organized into an association to pool their efforts, defend their common interests, and actively improve their working environment.

Since its founding, AZIT has pursued a sustainable-development approach, actively driving the zone's evolution into a modern, attractive, and competitive industrial park.
